Passavant Hospital Foundation and the Bridge to HopeSM Family Support Group, which provides refuge and resource for families and friends who are confronted with substance abuse and the addiction of their loved ones, invites you to attend a premier viewing of the BridgetoHopeSM educational video.
The purpose of the video is:
To inform the recovery/support community that the Bridge to HopeSM Family Support Group is an available resource for families fighting the misconceptions, stereotypes, stigma, ignorance and apathy that surround substance abuse and addiction; and,
To reach those families and friends who are struggling with a loved one’s addiction to alcohol and/or illegal drugs.
The educational video features the personal stories of several members of the family support group, defines the group’s purpose for existing, and demonstrates the validity of the concept of “Hope.”
This video was developed through a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development, and was produced by Emmy award winning film-maker, Michael Bartley of WQED.
The Bridge to HopeSM 20-minute video will be followed by discussion and questions period, and will be held on Wednesday, November 7 in UPMC Passavant’s Assembly Hall, 7‑8:30 p.m.
The session is free of charge and open to everyone.
Early registration is suggested – 412 367-6643
